Well Of Bottled Emotions Project Background The Factory Exhibit Djupavik Iceland 2018
Each bottle represents a year of life, each note within a struggle. Corked struggles await release while open ones have been or are being addressed. The audio, sounds gathered during live sound bath experiences, aids in bringing our subconscious conditioning into our conscious awareness for release, growth & self development.
Muller’s works mirror what Joseph Campbell’s & Carl Jung’s works suggest, that we each travel the same life processes/heroes journey, that ultimately lead us to the same pivot points of development within our selves. Muller reflects this through using her own life experience as example.
Inspired by the sacredness of life's inner journey, the metaphysical & the ritualistic, Muller explores deep-rooted connections of man with the natural world. She is currently working on the beginnings of Chapter Three - Earth, relating to inner processes of grounding & coming home inside of the self.
Aishling Muller (1980) is a multi disciplinary visual artist & holistic therapist from Ireland. In recent years she has been merging these two aspects of her being together, building creative healing spaces through installation. Muller believes that creative expression & our inner healing journey's arise from the same energetic space.
She has been developing her arts practice since 2007 & her holistic practice since 2012, working often with landscape, photography, video, audio, performance, participatory art works, crystals & sound therapy. Muller holds a BA in audio/visual media & an MA in art in the digital world. She has exhibited works in Iceland, Europe & America. For more information on her art works.
